Cheap Thrill*Star Struck*

Attended the Gala Premiere of One Last Dance, and for the first time in my not-exactly long life, came upclose and personal with our local stars and few of the HK stars!! HK actor Francis Ng (pic above) and China actor Ti Lung (actaully duno who's exactly he is) came to SG to publicise the film. Met many local celebraties as well on my way. Chen Hanwei is quite skinny hiding behind some humongous sunglasses. (didn't notice him till someone screamed his name). There's also Jeanette Aw, Julian Hee, Johnathan Leong and many others. After much encourage-ment by Boyfriend (I'm shy la!), I managed to approach Qi Yi Wu to take a photo with me. Heehee. Tho' the lighting ain't very flattering.
One Last Dance tells a story about a world-weary hitman and his love interest. Its directed by Brazilian Maz Makowski and this is the first Singapore film selected to be in competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2006. As usual, artistic films are slightly confusing and I felt pretty bored halfway through the show. But as the jigsaw puzzle unfolds, you'll go like "Ooooh..now i get it...interesting". Haha.
My rating: Watchable, but kinda test your patience.

1st workday for year 2007

Geez.. First day of work of the new year! *Am totally NOT excited about it AT ALL*. Sigh..I'm suffering from the new year blues. Sad that the holidays just flew by so quickly. Sad that I have a new whole 365-3 days minus the (pathetic no.s of public holidays + weekends) to slog it out. Sad that i suddenly lost passion about my job. Sad that i didnt get allocated those iPOs i bought, and their value keeps increasing. Sad that i lost interest in clubbing again.
This is a depressing entry. And i hope i snap out of it soon. *SNAP!*

Luv Timbre

Timmy and The Unexpected were playing at Timbre last night. Pretty impressed by the standard of music. They belted out classics and lastest rock songs, some of which are their own. The thin crusted pizzas and lamb kebabs are superlicious tho' the sirloin steak is tough as hell. by the time we reached Count Down time, Ngak who's the lead singer of Timmy is slightly drunk, looking kinda hilarious. Shirlyn from the Unexpected was fantastic, excellent vocals. Splendid place to chill. ok.that's all folks. Happy 2007...

A random day

Life without music is life not worth living. Ha hey not cliche ok. Boyfriend unfortunately don't share the same passion for music. But i've come to terms with it since he claims i don't share the same passion for gaming. Fair enough. Blah. And i still lament the fact that i always have to find kakis to go watch concerts and musicals with me. Anyway its better to go with someone who knows how to appreciate. Still, am going to spend my NYE at Timbre! Yea..live band, good music, good food..couldn't ask for more.
Digress..Came across this quote on my office calendar today..something about gratitude leading to peace and happiness.
Well, it's actaully not difficult to achieve, just that it's forgettable.

Christmas

Am pretty satisfied how my Christmas was spent this year. Although I'm not a Christian, I'm always looking forward to Christmas Day. Love the festive and christmasy vibes...

My cousin and I treated my godparents & grandma to tim sum on x'mas eve morning at Imperial Treasure. The tim sum was good, love the egg tarts especially. Can't really say Imperial Treasure is better than Crystal Jade, because some of the menu and style of the cooking is quite different. But i still prefer Crystal Jade's congee, good old cantonese style. (coz I'm cantonese!) I never like Teochew style's porriage. Imperial's teochew porriage taste good but I just simply prefer the cantonese congee kind.

My Godparents

Headed out to Ministry of Sound at night. I think its quite saddening that Christmas has become rather commercialise. But i mean what's not commercialise in this era. Maybe next year Christmas can be organised at someone's place. Try exchanging gifts in the middle of a nightclub, not very bright idea. Ended up in the loo! At least MOS has big spacious rest rooms.
